KENNETH RAY RAMEY

CLINTWOOD Kenneth Ray Ramey age 82, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home. Mr. Ramey was a lifelong resident of Clintwood and a United States Army Veteran. He was a building contractor and a handyman for many people including Clintwood Funeral Home. He was a member of the Cumberland Church of the Brethren and played music for the Lord for over 50 years. Mr. Ramey was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Ramey was preceded in death by his parents, Algie and Tessie Ramey and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Ramey of Clintwood; son, Kenneth Ramey, Jr. and wife Jackie of Tifton, Ga.; his daughter, Sharon Fleming of Clintwood; 2 brothers, Roger Ramey of Clintwood and Bill Ramey of Pound; 1 sister, Oleta Jo Keith of Haysi; grandchildren, Kolton Riley Mullins, Billy Lee Fleming, Aidan and Gabriel Ramey; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 8, 7 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Rose officiating. Family and friends were requested to meet at Ramey Family Cemetery, Blowing Rock, Saturday, July 9, at 1 p.m. for a graveside service. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
