Roger R. Kus Celebration of Life  will be held Saturday, July 17, at Bullitt Park, 217 E 1st St N, Big Stone Gap, VA, 12 pm till 3 pm. 

As many of you remember, we lost Roger Kus, T.O.M. II at Fremont Area Headquarters, Dickenson County, in January of this year to a month long battle with Covid. Due to the restrictions at the time, a typical funeral wasn’t an option. We have decided that we aren’t going to have a funeral. We are going to have a birthday party and celebration of life!

We are asking every one of his family and friends to join us in celebrating his life of 66 years and V.D.O.T. career of 44 years. Roger’s Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Bullitt Park in Big Stone Gap, VA. This will be an outdoor event, however there will be a pavilion, picnic tables, playground equipment, splash pads and restrooms available. 

Casual dress is recommended as well as swim clothes and towels for the kids if they want to play on the splash pads. 

We will be having this celebration catered as you can’t have a birthday party without food! We ask for everyone to please let us know if you are able to attend and celebrate Roger’s life on his birthday with us to ensure we have plenty for everyone! RSVP information is below.
