HAZEL BOYD NEELEY

Hazel Boyd Neeley, age 87 of the Neeley Road Hurricane Section of Davenport passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Paula and Dean Edwards where she had resided for the last year.  Born in Buchanan County, she was a daughter of the Henry and Delta Gent Boyd. She was last employed at the Buchanan County Courthouse. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal Faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Neeley; her daughter, Donna Neeley Barton; four grandchildren; three sisters, Juanita Maddox, Leah Deel and Evelyn Coleman and one brother, Alfred Boyd.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Donnie) Raines, Birchleaf, Paula (Dean) Edwards, Birchleaf, and Tammy Street, Davenport; two sons, Rick (Sandy) Neeley Vansant and Harold Boyd, Castlewood; sixteen grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Brenda (Rodney) Duty, Davenport, Judy (Jennings) Boyd, Davenport, Jeanette (Darrell) James, Honaker, and one brother, Ralph Boyd, Harmon; son-in-law, Dennis Barton, Clinchco;, brother-in-law, Bill Coleman, Haysi; sister-in-law, Margie Boyd, Bee; several nieces and nephews, beloved cousin and best friend, Ocie Jackson. Special thanks to her precious caregivers, Paula, Patricia, Audra, Karen and Candi.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Darrell Milgrim and Denver Barton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery, Neeley Road Davenport. Pallbearers will be Ocie Jackson, family and friends. The family received friends after 6 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home, where an evening service was conducted at 7 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
