The first Sunday School ever organized in Clintwood was in 1883

This log building was purported to have housed what was  believed to be the first Sunday School class in Clintwood.  Besides being used as a Sunday School it is believed that the Methodist church members held services in this building.  (Photo taken from a Clintwood Methodist Church program.)
