Blanche Killen Miller, or lovingly referred to as “NaNa”, 90 of Quinton entered into Gods care gracefully and gloriously on March 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her daughter and two granddaughters.

Through ninety years of life, she served her Lord and savior faithfully. Born in Clintwood, a small coal mining town in the mountains of southwestern Virginia moving to New Kent in 1965, where she raised a family and created a beautiful life. She was Employed with New Kent Forestry and Retired from Owen Illinois after 22 years of service in 2002.

After retirement she dedicated her days to being with her daughter, two granddaughters and three great-grandsons. She loved her beauty routine with hair appointments on Friday, talking to family back home, roses and bird watching, gospel music, reading, Sunday School at Liberty Baptist Church.

She joins in heaven, her husband of 44 years, Milburn Miller; her parents, Hibbert and Jerushia Killen; her brother, Kermit Killen and two sisters, Belvia Jane and Emma Jean and brother in-law, Sgm. Elster Stanley.
She leaves behind and will continue to watch over her brother, Fred Killen (Shelvia Jean); nephew, W. Kevin Killen; nieces, Kris Killen and Lisa Bragg and O; sisters, Bonnie Killen Stanley; nephew, Gregory Stanley and wife Elizabeth; great-nieces, Heather and Rebecca Stanley and Iantha Killen Sturgill; nephew Mark Randall Sutherland; son, Larry Wayne Miller (Sandra); grandsons, Shawn Miller (Tina) and Ashley Miller (Roma); her daughter and caretaker for the last 14 years, Athena Parsley (Glenn); granddaughters, Victoria Rowsey (Chris), and Nicole Parsley (Kenny); great-grandsons, Austin, Dylan, Gavin and Kaison; great-granddaughter, Addison, along with many lifelong friends she gained along the way.

As requested, NaNa will go rest high on that mountain back home in Clintwood in the Bonnie and Elster Stanley Family Cemetery in Ramey Flats. Services were held Tuesday, March 21 at 1 p.m. in the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Frank Hall officiating, the graveside service followed. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Visitation was held from 12 noon till service time.
