Two new cases in county

Dickenson County reported two new COVID-19 cases between May 16 and Tuesday.
According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 4,941 to 4,943.

The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 71.
Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by two during the same period, from 6,243 to 6,245. Russell County’s total case count increased by eight to 9,676. Wise County’s case count increased by 18 to 14,131.
