County: Six new COVID cases

Dickenson County reported six new COVID-19 cases between Sept. 12 and Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Department of Health, the county’s total number of cases since the pandemic began increased from 5,106 to 5,112 in one week.
The county’s number of COVID-19-related deaths remained at 73.

Nearby, Buchanan County’s total number of cases increased by 15 to 6,316 during the same period. Russell County’s total case count increased by 28 to 9,843. Wise County’s case count increased by 57 to 14,573.
