JEWELL ELIZABETH ROSE

Jewell Elizabeth Rose age 92, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023 at The Waters in Blountville, Tn. Mrs. Rose was a graduate of Ervinton High School and an employee of McClure Post Office for many years. She taught Sunday School at McClure Methodist Church for several years and was a cake baker and decorator for the community. She was a loving mother, grandmother and was a friend to all.

Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ersel C. Rose; parents, Berkley and May Patton; son, Robert Rose; several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Randy Rose and Ann of Blountville, Tn.; daughter, Sandra Rose Jones of Bristol, Tn.; granddaughter, Katherine Mason and Cory of Lynchburg; step-great-grandchildren, Lacy Cunningham and Lynnzie Johnson; one sister, Irene Elliott of Stanton,; two sisters in-law, Mary Jane Patton of Jonesborough, Tn. and Wanda Rose of Taylor, Mi.; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 17, 2 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Sams officiating. Visitation began at 12:30 p.m. Burial followed at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers were Tim Carty, Cory Mason, Ronnie Barnett, Kenneth Stanley, Jimmy Eggers and Anthony Stevens. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Hyder, Sam Patton and Eddie Sensabaugh.
