RAYMOND NEAL SMITH

Raymond Neal Smith age 78, passed away September 15, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Hurley and Elmira Smith. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was employed as a draftsman for Westinghouse. Mr. Smith moved to Clintwood with his children and retired from Thompson & Litton. He was a faithful member and financial supporter of Skeetrock Community Church. Mr. Smith was a loving father and grandfather.

Survivors include his son Christopher Smith and Lora Lee of Clintwood; daughter, Andrea Mullins and Randy of Clintwood; grandchildren, Alex Smith, Haydren Smith, Allison Smith, Megan King and Steve, Aiden Smith, Hunter Mullins and Mickey Mullins; one sister, Darlene Lawrence and Donald of Freeland, Md.; the Phipps, Smith and Bowman families. Special thank you to Caris Hospice.

Visitation was held Tuesday, September 19 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 20, 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with John Farmer and Harold Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at the Phipps Family Cemetery, Fairview Road, Clintwood. Pallbearers are Chris Smith, Tim Lawrence, Dennis Nangle, Randy Mullins, Steve King and Clyde Elkins. We carry our own.
