TOMMIE KERR THOMASON

Tommie Kerr Thomason was born on July 10, 1931 and entered into eternal rest on October 07, 2023 at his home. He was a graduate of Dickenson Memorial High School and was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He married Sue Culbertson Thomason October 01, 1954. They had one child, Wynn Thomason Hull. He retired from Pittston Coal Company where he worked for 39 years. He was a people person, and could talk to anybody. Anyone he cared about always got a nickname and it stuck with you for life.  To know him was to love him….. And everyone that knew him did just that.

He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Peuther Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tommie Ray Turner; his wife, Catherine Sue Thomason; his mother, Ivis Kerr Thomason and father, Harry W. Thomason.

Survivors include his best friend, his daughter Wynn Hull; granddaughter, Angela (Bucky) Boyd; great-grandson and apple of his eye, Colton (Lauren) Kiser; and his great-great-grandson and special little feller, Lucas Alan Kiser.

Family and friends were asked to meet at the Kerr Family Cemetery on Rose Ridge where a prayer and graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Burial was in the Kerr Family Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers were Johnny Branham, Giles Rasnick and Max Hillman.
