ROSIE ELLEN TURNER

Rosie Ellen Turner was born January 22, 1951 and passed away Monday October 30, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County. Rosie was a member of Sandlick Primitive Baptist and is preceded in death by her husband, James Turner; father, John Truman Smith; mother, Anglian Smith; siblings, Janice Ann Edwards and Sammie Lee Smith; children, Mathew Douglas Turner and Steven Ray Turner.

Survivors include her children, James Vernon Turner, and Michael Clay Turner; nine grandchildren, Victoria Wallace, Miranda Turner, Jessica Turner, Brittany Turner, Marcus Turner, James Ray Turner, Steven Eugene Turner, Joshua Turner and Linda Fenstesmaker and seven great-grandchildren, Millie Turner, Tabby Wallace, Sherry Wallace, Autumn Wallace, Mathew Turner, Quintin and Shaiyan

Family will receive friends Thursday November 2, 2023 beginning at 6 p.m. in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. with clergymen Garnell Gilbert, Robert Fuller, and Jim Duty. A Graveside Service will be conducted the following day Friday November 3, 2023 at the Stevens Family Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Bill O’quinn, Joshua Turner, Marcus Turner, James Ray Turner, Stevie Eugene Turner and Wayne Edwards.
