BETTY GAYE HAWKINS TAYLOR

Betty Gaye Hawkins Taylor, 83, passed into glory on Friday, November 3, 2023 at home in her beloved hometown of Clintwood. She was the daughter of the late Daniel W. Hawkins and Hattie Nowlin Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Garith Taylor and her middle son Calvin Brent Taylor.

Surviving are her sons, James “Hap” Taylor of Norton and Dan Taylor and spouse, Kaye of Raleigh, NC; brother, Jim Hawkins of Bristol; grandchildren, Tiffany, Garith, Jacob, Jamie, Chris, Tessa, Luke, and Grace; twin great-grandchildren, Keegan and Kellan. She was a founding member of New Life Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2023 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with Clergyman Don Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Phipps Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hap Taylor, Dan Taylor, Jamie Taylor, Chris Taylor, Garith Taylor, Jacob Taylor and Luke Taylor. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brother Jim Hawkins. Online condolences may be made at www.mullinsfuneralhome.net.
