SAMIE ROBERT FLEMING

Samie Robert Fleming (Sam) was born October 05, 1938 and passed away Monday, November 20, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was of the Baptist Faith and a lifelong resident of Dickenson County.

Before retirement he spent many years as owner and operator of 4-Way Tire and Auction where he enjoyed spending time with friends. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mae and Thurman Fleming; one infant daughter, Patricia Jean; one sister, Betty Baugus, and two brothers, Harold Fleming and John Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Fleming; three daughters, Teresa and (Dennis) Baxter of Spotsylvania, Rita Fleming and (Russell) of Mine Run, and Donna and (William) Mooney of Clintwood; one son, Samie Fleming of the home; three step-children, Creighton Fowler, Denny Seamon and Jennifer Blizzard; brother, Jack (Phyllis) Anderson of Abingdon; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A song service was conducted Friday, November 24, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel, the family received friends from 6 p.m. until service time. Funeral Services were Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with friends and family being received at 10 a.m. and the funeral being conducted at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lynn Vanover officiating. Burial was a private family service. Pallbearers were family and friends.
