DEBRA MCCLANAHAN

Debra McClanahan, age 64 of Bear Branch Road passed away Sunday November 26, 2023 at Heritage Hall in Tazewell. Born in Buchanan County she was a daughter of the late Taw and Carrie Mullins Owens. She was last employed as a nurse with Stone Mountain Health Services in Haysi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elster (Nig) McClanahan, Jr.

Survivors include one son, Terry (Leslie) McClanahan, Clay Pool Hill; one daughter, Brittany McClanahan, Vansant; two grandsons, Isaac and Caden McClanahan; one granddaughter, Bree McClanahan; one brother, Larry (Brenda) Owens, Vansant and one sister, Sharon Slone, Thomasville, NC.

Graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill with Bill Smith officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
