The Ridgeview High School scholastic team outsmarted Central High School, Richlands High School and Virginia High School to claim the trophy at the regional tournament Feb. 3. After winning the title game against Central 225-150, the team is statebound for the Feb. 24 Williamsburg competition. The team has 18 wins and zero losses this season. On July 11th the Library Summer Reading Programs held “foam parties” at both libraries. Kenzlee, 6 years old and Kylee, five years old, daughters of Sarah and Hank Swiney from Haysi, are all smiles while enjoying the bubbles at the Haysi Community Library.
