Wellmore Energy Company, LLC of 1073 Riverview Street, Grundy, VA 24614 is applying to the Virginia Mined Land Repurposing Program for renewal of Permit No. 1300504, in order to continue the operations at the following location.
The operation is located in Dickenson County approximately 2 miles west of Trammel on Neece Creek off of Route 651. The permit is situated within the Nora USGS 7.5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle Map. The Renewal Map showing the permit area is attached in Section 21.2 of the application. The acreage for this operation is 179.64 acres.
Surface water runoff will pass through sediment control structures and will be discharged into Neece Creek of Open Fork of McClure River. The existing discharge locations may be viewed on the Renewal Map.
Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of March 20, 2024 submit written comments or objections concerning this application and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
