WILLIAM MACK FINK

William Mack Fink, age 93 of Haysi, passed away peacefully May 30, 2024 at Franklin Woods Hospital in Johnson City, Tn. Born in Clinchco, he was a son of the late John and Nannie Fink. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers and sisters, Lottie, Hallie, George, John Jr., Catherine, Evelyn, Corrina, and Ray.

Mack was a Korean war veteran serving from 1951-1953. After returning home, he married his fiancé, Goldie Anderson on July 17, 1953 and was married to her for 55 years until her death in 2009.

He leaves behind two loving daughters, Pam (Rick) Mullins of Clintwood and Tammy (Clint) Owens of Haysi; grandchildren, Sabrina Fuller, Rich (Tiffany) Mullins, 3 great-grandchildren Matthew (Kassidy) Fuller, Gracie Fuller, and Carrera Mullins.

He was a faithful Christian and Servant to God. He was baptized on September 30, 1962, became a member of Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church October 14, 1962 and became a deacon on April 13, 1975. He was a retired Coal miner where he was an electrician and mechanic and was a member of the UMWA local #1476.

Funeral services were conducted 12 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024 at Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Sluss officiating. Burial followed in the Family Cemetery, Clintwood. Pallbearers were Matthew Fuller, Rich Mullins, Clint Owens, Rick Mullins, Jeff Mullins, Johnny Mullins and Randy Mullins.  Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Splashdam Freewill Baptist Church. The family received friends at the church from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024 prior to a song service at 7 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral.com.
