The Banner Company of 1073 Riverview Street, Grundy, VA 24614 is applying to the Virginia Mined Land Repurposing Program for renewal of Permit No. 1501702, in order to continue the operations at the following location.

The operation is located in Dickenson County approximately 1.5 miles northwest of Dante off of State Route 650 and 627. The permit is situated within the Nora and Saint Paul USGS 7.5 Minute Topographic Quadrangle Maps. The Renewal Map showing the permit area is attached in Section 21.2 of the application. The acreage for this operation is 180.23 acres.

Drainage will pass through sediment control structures and will be discharged into Dismal Fork of the McClure River. Drainage is controlled via Pond A, Outfall 001 of PN 1201668. The existing discharge location may be viewed on the Renewal Map which is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.

Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of August 7, 2024 submit written comments or objections concerning this application and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
