DELLA VIOLET EDWARDS

Della Violet Edwards age 81 of Haysi passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her home. She was a devoted wife to the late Kelly Edwards. She was a daughter to the late Woodrow and Minnie Powers. She was a lifelong homemaker and devoted mother and moose (grandmother) to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kelly; her parents, Woodrow and Minnie; brothers, Jack, Kenny, Jimmy; sister, Lois; daughter in-law, Lydia; and father in-law and mother in-law Hadley and Eva Edwards.
Survivors include her children, Mary (David) Yates, Mark Edwards and Michael (Donna) Edwards; grandchildren, Brooke (David) Wallace, Zac (Tracy) Yates, Lance Edwards, Kendra Edwards, Nathaniel (Nikita) Edwards; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Alice, Emrie, Alex, Will, Dakota, Kamden, Archer, Remi Rose, Rowan and all who called her Moose; brothers, Chester (Irene) Powers, Willard (Janice) Powers, Ernest (Edna) Powers; and sister, Bonnie (late Elvin) Lewis.
Graveside services were conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday December 3, 2024 at L. H. Edwards Cemetery in Haysi with Elders, Garnell Gilbert and Jim Duty officiating.  Pallbearers were family and friends. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral@yahoo.com.
