ERNIE WAYNE STANLEY

Ernie Wayne Stanley, age 79 of Louisville, passed away on December 11, 2024. Born to the late Estle and Jettie Stanley, Ernie is also preceded in death by his six siblings. Here to carry on his memory is his adoring wife of 57 years, Gilda Stanley; their son, Kenneth Stanley; two siblings; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ernie was a native of Clintwood where he graduated from Clintwood High School in 1963. Ernie lived in the Bristol area for 25 years where he worked as a mechanical designer. While living in Bristol, Ernie served as a coach at Washington County Little League and served on the PTA at High Point Elementary School.
After leaving Bristol, Ernie and his family lived in several places throughout the country before settling in Louisville, Ky. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family in New Smyrna Beach, Fl.
A Celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at a later date in Clintwood.
