Kile Elbert Spangler, age 91, of Sandlick Road passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Maple Grove Rehab and Care Center, Lebanon. Born in Volcan, WV. he was a son of the late Samuel and Nancy Roberts Spangler. He was an Army Veteran, retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and a member of Breeding Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Joyce Daniels Spangler and siblings, John Spangler, Aretta Seatom, Emma Jean Arrolia, and Gaynell Rayburn.
Survivors include his sons, Danny (Barbara) Spangler of Bee and Sam (Lynne) Spangler of Cedar Bluff; grandchildren, Andy Spangler, Julie Houchins, Justin (Ashliegh) Spangler, Bradley Spangler and Nathan Spangler; great-grandchild, Ender Houchins and K-9 companion, Ellie.
Funeral service was conducted 11 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders Jim Duty, Garnell Gilbert and Barrett McGlothlin officiating. Burial followed in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
