JIMMY DARL FLEMING
March 18, 2025

Jimmy Darl Fleming, 80, of Ceresco, Mi., passed away at home on February 14, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1944 to George and Georgia (Killen) Fleming in Clintwood.
On February 14, 2002 Jimmy married Shelly Mae Hendryx at Faith Assembly of God Church in Olivet, Mi., who sadly passed away on June 18, 2024.
He started his working career as a gas station attendant in Battle Creek, Mi., became a tree trimming foreman, and then apprenticed at Crook's Plumbing in Battle Creek to learn the plumbing trade and eventually earned a Master Plumber license. Jimmy worked as a Plumber and eventually became the Supervisor at the Battle Creek VA Medical plumbing and pipe-fitting department, where he retired from.
He was always repairing or building something around the house or at friend's houses, and constantly on the go. Jimmy loved playing horseshoes where he was a multi-year Michigan State Champion. He enjoyed playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, and listening to bluegrass music. Jimmy was an avid billiards player. He was usually found outside, whether it was hunting, fishing, bird watching, or taking care of his yard and trees. He also enjoyed Sunday church services. He most certainly was a smart, intelligent hardworking man who succeeded at anything he put his mind to. Jimmy will be dearly missed by his family and close friends.
