DELMER "DOC" FRANCE

Delmer “Doc” France, 62, of Toledo, Oh., passed away November 13, 2024. He was born November 16, 1961 to Elmer and Beckie (Damron) France and grew up in Clintwood. 
Doc worked many jobs but enjoyed driving trucks the most, traveling all over the country for many years. He drove company trucks and owned his own. He loved to go to the casinos, watch movies and TV shows, collect fine bourbons and whiskeys and rarely missed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his step-grandson, Dale.
Doc loved playing with his dogs, one of which was affectionately called “Baby Girl”, Jill and Jack Jr.
Doc is survived and deeply missed by his loving partner of 14 years, Lynne Shoup; his children, Shawnee (Matthew) Dimick and Brandon (Shannon) France; his step-children, Jason (Sarah) Draper and Stacy Draper; step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Draper, Kacey (Austin) Draper, Camryn (Trey) Draper, Dale Wolfram and Taylor Wolfram; sisters, Betty Polly, Jenny Mae (Jerry) Taylor, Alberta Kistner and Wilma (Freddie) Stanley; brothers, Clearsy (Erma) France and Burl (Mary) France; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Beckie France; father, Elmer France; brothers, Fearl France, Earl France and Clyde France; sisters, Jimmie Jean Baker and Fern France.
As Doc had always wished he will be laid to rest next to his mama Saturday April 26th,2025 at 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to join the family, we will be meeting at the Clintwood Community Shelter at 11 a.m. and proceed to the family cemetery plot. After the burial the family and friends are invited to return to the Clintwood Community Shelter for a gathering.
