JIMMY CON TURNER

Jimmy Con Turner, age 74 of Goldfinch Drive, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at Bon Secours Community Hospice House. A former resident of Dickenson County, he was a son of the late Wiley and Stella Viers Turner. Jimmy lived the last 40 plus years in the North Chesterfield area and was last employed as a crane operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Yvonne Earls Turner and a son, Samuel Turner.
Survivors include his son, David Gene (Susan) Turner of North Chesterfield; a great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Farmer; a special girlfriend, Thelma Gartin Viers of Haysi; and several extended family members from Michigan.
A Graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in the Wilson-Turner Cemetery, Haysi. Pallbearers were family and friends. A reception was held after the service at Turner Old Regular Baptist Church. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2025 at Haysi Funeral Home.
