The object of this suit is to enforce the lien of the Complainant, County of Dickenson, Virginia, for delinquent real estate taxes against certain real property located in the County of Dickenson, Virginia, described as follows:

All that certain tract or parcel of land situate and being on the waters of Mill Creek in Willis Magisterial District of Dickenson County, Virginia and more particularly bounded and described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a stake in road and a corner to the lands now or formerly owned by Chalmer Senter and in the line of a proposed tract now or formerly owned by Johnnie Sluss, thence up the hill S 51 E 227 feet to a double chestnut called for near a high point, thence down ridge S 33 W 169 feet to a stake ibn road, thence with the road N 17-30 W 295 to the beginning, containing .46 acres, more or less.
Being the same property conveyed to Madison Sluss by Deed from L. F. Newberry or Verna Newberry by Deed dated June 10, 1946 and recorded among the land records of the Circuit Court of Dickenson County, Virginia on December 3, 1946 in Deed Book 88 at Page 53.
This description is made subject to all easements, conditions, agreements, restrictions, and reservations of record which affect the property herein described.

All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Dickenson County, Virginia, on the waters of Meadow Branch a tributary to Pound River and being bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at two dead chestnuts and black oak stump by the road S 9 E 17 p to a stake in the road; thence S 35-1/4 E 17- ½ p to a maple; S 38 E 27 p to a double sourwood inside a field; S 37 E 88 p to a hickory sprout in a field below the road; N 43 E 19p to a dogwood and chestnut stump a corner of the tract of land now or formerly owned by Lewis Stone; N 40 W 44 ½ p to a large white oak; E 18 W 23 p to two beeches on a ridge; N 9 ¾ W 13 ½ p north 8 poles to chestnuts; E 16 ½ E 18 p 10 links to a maple; E 22 ½ W 16 ½ p to a double sourwood; N 53 W 40 p to a water oak on a knob; S 45 W 35 p to the beginning, containing 31 acres and 51 sq. poles, more or less.
Being the same property conveyed to Madison Sloose by Deed from Noah F. Mc. Sloose and Ruthie Sloose, his wife, by Deed dated August 8, 1920 and recorded among the land records of the Circuit Court of Dickenson County, Virginia on August 20, 1920 in Deed Book 45 at Page 556.
This description is made subject to all easements, conditions, agreements, restrictions, and reservations of record which affect the property herein described including but not limited to those recorded in Deed Book 45 at Page 556.
IT APPEARING that an Affidavit has been made and filed stating that due diligence has been used, without effect, to ascertain the identity and location of certain parties to be served, that the last known addresses for the Respondents herein are as follows: Madison Sluss also known as William Madison Sluss, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Adna Sluss, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Dorothy Sluss Mullins, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Roger Wayne Mullins, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Hattie Geraldine Mullins, whose last known address is 294 Wildcat Ridge, Clintwood, Virginia 24228; Everett J. Mullins, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Sharline Sutherland, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Sherry Lynne Sutherland, whose last known address is 314 Wildcat Ridge , Clintwood, Virginia 24228; Hazel Sluss, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Chancellor Lee Sluss, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Lois Ann Mullins Sluss, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Rebecca S. Vanover, whose last known address is Post Office Box 1484, Clintwood, Virginia 24228; Jean Perrigan, whose last known address is 3727 Backbone Ridge, Clintwood, Virginia 24226; Ernestine Hopson, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Russell Hopson, whose last known address is 716 Big Smith Ridge Road, Clintwood, Virginia 24228; Linda Mullins, whose last known address is unknown; Ferris Mullins, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Anceline Sluss Dutton, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Willis Ray Dutton, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Constantine J Dutton, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Cora Sluss Ferrell, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; and that any officers, heirs, devisees, and successors in title of the Respondent named herein are made parties Respondent to this action individually and/or by the general description of Parties Unknown, it is hereby
ORDERED that the parties herein and all Parties Unknown and/or whose location cannot be ascertained appear on or before September 19, 2025 in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the County of Dickenson, Virginia, and do what may be necessary to protect their interests in this cause.
