Now comes your Petitioner, The Dickenson County Department of Social Services, and moves this Honorable Court for an Order of Publication in the above referenced matter. This suit is for the termination of parental rights concerning a child known as Zai'Breelyn Thomas.
“The “termination of parental rights” is the complete and irreversible legal severing of the parent-child relationship, making the parent "a legal stranger" to the child and relieving them of all responsibilities, including financial support and rights to visitation.”
It appearing by affidavit filed according to law that the location and whereabouts of Kiaraba Ray, the father of Zai’Breelynn Thomas, are unknown. And it further appearing by affidavit that the last known address of Zai’ was 120N Clover Street, Clintwood, Virginia 24228. It is therefore ORDERED that Kiaraba Ray, the father or anyone else with an interest in the custody of Zai’Brelynn Thomas appear on or before the 27th day of October, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Clerk's Office of this Court and do what is necessary to protect his/her interests.
And, it is further ORDERED that this order be published one time per week for four successive weeks in The Dickenson Star, a newspaper of general circulation in the County of Dickenson, Commonwealth of Virginia; that The Dickenson Star return a certification to counsel for the Petitioners that this ORDER OF PUBLICATION has in fact been run one time per week for four successive weeks; and that a copy of this ORDER be posted at the front door of the Courthouse wherein this Court is held.
