JIMMY DALE BAKER

Jimmy Dale Baker age 63, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Clintwood. He was born in Wise on November 19, 1956. He was raised in Clintwood, however, he lived most of his adult life in Florida. Jimmy Dale returned to Clintwood about fifteen months ago, since the nursing homes in his area of Florida had been destroyed by Hurricane Michael. Many family members still live in the Clintwood area, so he chose to be near them.

Jimmy Dale was preceded in death by his parents, James Baker and Clara Baker Mayfield; stepfather, Howard Mayfield; his brother, Virgil Baker; two sisters, Judy Baker Seaver and Jeannie Lori Baker.

Survivors include his only child, Emily Elizabeth Hodges and Justin; three grandchildren, Chloe, Brodie and Sadie Hodges of Panama City Fl.; four sisters, Lucille Mullins, Polly Phipps and Leon of Panama City Fl., Ruth Barnes and Don of Clintwood, Debbie Hampton and Rick of Pound; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held at Clintwood Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m., Sunday, September 20, with a short service that followed. Burial was Monday, September 21, at the Mullins Cemetery, Longs Fork, Clintwood. Family met at Clintwood Funeral Home at 11 a.m. and proceeded to the cemetery.
