CHARLIE DOUGLAS HILL

3-23-1943 to 4-18-2021

Charlie Douglas Hill, age 78, of Lake Road passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at LeConte Medical Center in Tennessee. He had worked in the coal industry for many, many years and worked at The Clintwood Farm Store. Charlie and Adele enjoyed traveling, going camping, to drag races, and flea markets, but most of all they enjoyed each other and the love of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Hill; parents, Tommy and Minnie Hill; four brothers, Raford, Estil, Tranver and Paul Hill; and one sister, Dorthy Newell.

Survivors include his loving companion of ten years, Adele Davis; one brother, Kermit Hill; two sisters, Lilly Stone and Beulah Jackson; three daughters, Ann Yates, Fran Wampler, and Kim Rasnick; four grandchildren, Burton Yates, Doug and Matthew Wampler, and Kristy Rasnick; great-grandchildren, Rain Wampler, River Wampler, Callie Wampler, Brooklyn Wampler, Charlie Wampler, Jimmy Hill, Ann Marie Rasnick, Ethan Edwards, Chase Robinson, Josiah Ratliff, and Jay Gray and best friends, Freddie and Karen Mullins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 5:15 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with song service to follow at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home Chapel. Tim Mullins will officiate. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed and masks will be required. Burial will follow in the Hill Family Cemetery, The Lake Road, Clintwood.

Pallbearers will be Burton Yates, Doug and Matthew Wampler, Leslie Edwards, Charlie Watkins, and Jimmy Hill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louie Garrett, Dwayne Hess, and family and friends. Online condolences may be made at www.mullinsfuneralhome.net.
