GREGORY LEE DELANEY

Gregory Lee Delaney, age 59, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Dickenson Community Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Delaney; his paternal grandparents, Fenden and Lema Delaney and his maternal grandparents, Kenova and Maggie Stanley.

Survivors include his mother, Nina Delaney of Clintwood; two sisters, Regina Ray of Summersville, WV and Angie (Chris Rakes of Clintwood; niece, Kristy Rakes; three nephews, Richard, Chris, and Andy Ray; great-nephew, Isaac Kose and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.

A graveside service was conducted Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Delaney Family Cemetery, The Lake Road, Clintwood. Darrell Milgrim officiated.

It was Greg’s wishes to be cremated. His cremains was transported to the cemetery by his sister, Angie Rakes by motorcycle procession.
