Queen Anne’s Lace
July 20, 2021
It’s name is a reference to the story of Queen Anne who pricked her finger with a needle while making lace. A single drop of blood fell to the lace. The dark spot is just part of the flower. This plant was brought by European settlers and is now a common wildflower. It is sometimes called a wild carrot.
