KEITH ALLEN COMPTON

Keith Allen Compton age 74, passed away Monday September 13, 2021 at Dickenson Community Hospital, Clintwood. Born in Clintwood, son of the late Jack Allen Compton and Mary Jean Keith Compton.

He was a 1966 graduate of Clintwood High School, the Owner and Operator of 83 Gas and Grocery since 1981, was active with his community serving with several board appointments and a member of the Dickenson County Industrial Development Authority, a member of the Shriner’s and Clintwood Masonic Lodge. Allen was of the Christian Faith, loved spending time with family and friends, along with playing golf.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Compton, Clintwood; son, Greg Compton of Clintwood; daughters, Jessica Compton of Md. and Crystal Barnette and husband Todd of Big Stone Gap; his brother, Jaye Compton of Clintwood; along with host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Friday. September 17, 2021 at Chapel of Love, Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, with Mike Yates officiating. The family received friends from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at Clintwood Funeral Home Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for all donations be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL, 33607.
