The Sand Lick Primitive Baptist Church was established on February 25, 1837. The first church building was a small log structure.  The second structure was built in 1896 and is pictured above.  This photo was taken in 1937 and was found among the photos of E. J. Sutherland which are archived with the Dickenson County Historical Society.
