REEDY JAREL DEEL

Reedy Jarel Deel, age 79, of Fortunes Way, Abingdon passed away November 30, 2021 at his residence. He was the son of Lindon McCoy and Flora Velva Combs Deel. He was last employed with General Motors.

Friend to many and always had a story to make people laugh. He was also known as Mr. Fix It and would be there with helping hands to help others. Our loss is heavens gain, he will have no more pain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Glenna Owens, Bonnie Bailey and husband, Earl and Helen Johnson and husband Clayton; brother Homer Ward Deel and brothers-in-laws, Lloyd Duty and Norm Messer.

He is survived by his wife, Ilene; two sisters, Pat Messer, and Mary Lou Duty; brother, Clifton (Wanda) Deel; his wonderful caregivers, Sheila Smith and Brittany Miller. Many other loving family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted 12 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Paul Rose officiating. Burial followed in the Deel Family Cemetery, Birchleaf.
