CAROLE SUE (RAMEY) EDWARDS

HAYSI — Carole Sue Ramey Edwards, 72 of Wagon Trail Road, passed away December 29, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky. Born on July 15, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Willie E. and Celesta Wiggins Ramey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Edwards; siblings, Harold, Carol, Marion, Agia, Bill, Joe, Roger, Katie and Marie

She was of the Baptist faith, an alumni of Southwest Virginia Community College and was last employed as an In-Home Care Giver.

Survivors include three daughters, Nikki Hudgins, of Athens, Ga., Sandy Turner, Haysi and Jessica (Ellis) Johnson, Honaker.; special grandson, AJ (Jasmine) Hudgins of Watkinsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Tyler Hudgins and fiancé Collin Riner, Madisynn Turner, Cameron Turner, Rihanna Turner and Autymn Turner; three great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Zeke, and Hazel Hudgins; two sisters, Gay Counts and Ann (Brad) Viers and one brother, Denver Ramey also survive.

Funeral services were conducted 6 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders David O’Quinn and Eddie Newsome officiating. Friends may have called after 5 p.m. prior to services. A graveside service was conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 in the AJ Edwards Cemetery, Birchleaf. AJ Hudgins, Billy Counts, Kriston Viers, David Gonzales, Collin Riner, Michael Viers and Charlie Counts served as pallbearers. Online condolences may be sent to www.haysifuneral@yahoo.com.
